Description

The PhysIOL intraocular lenses are precision optical devices. The material is an acrylic copolymer of medical quality which includes a UV (λ < 400 nm) absorbing filter. For the yellow intraocular lenses a blue light-filtering chromophore is covalently bounded to the UV-absorbing material.The acrylic lenses are intended for implantation in the capsular bag after opening of the capsule by capsulectomy. Intraocular lenses available in different models and from PhysIOL are controlled individually for their optical and mechanical properties.
