Human Rights Policy

The Company respects and supports internationally recognized regulations and principles for human rights, including “Universal Declaration of Human Rights”, “United Nations Global Compact”, and International Labor Organization’s “Declaration of Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work”, we abide by local laws and regulations in all countries and regions we operate, striving to minimize human rights risks or decrease the effects from human rights events through remedial actions.

Management Principles

1. We prohibit any kind of discrimination.
2. We prohibit forced labor and child labor.
3. We provide equal and reasonable compensation and working conditions.
4. We establish a safe, hygienic and healthy work environment.
5. We periodically conduct review and assessment on relevant systems.

Human Rights Issues and Specific Practices

The Company abides by local laws and regulations in Taiwan and the countries where all branches operate, supports and voluntarily complies with internationally recognized human rights standards, we treat with dignity and respect current employees and contract staff, striving to enhance human rights awareness among internal staff and stakeholders.

We prohibit any kind of discrimination.

The Company abides by local government’s labor laws, international regulations and the “Corporate Human Rights Policy”, fulfilling promotion for internal relevant regulations and carrying out internal control. The non-discrimination principle has been stipulated in Chapter 2 “Employment and Termination” of “Work Rules” , the Company conducts employment or dismissal of employees, without discrimination of any kind based on race, class, language, thought, religion, political party, place of origin, gender, marital status, appearance, facial features, disability, place of birth, gender orientation, age, or past membership in any labor union.

From the beginning of recruitment, the Company always lawfully performs the hiring process to preclude any illegal discrimination.

The Company abides by local government’s labor laws, international regulations and the “Corporate Human Rights Policy”, before hiring employees, we consistently ensure the voluntary nature in human resource providing service and overall recruiting conditions, without any activities involving forced labor or compulsory labor.

Based on management principle of the “Corporate Human Rights Policy”, the Company regards only applicants over 18 years old as qualified candidates for interview, conducting evaluation for new employees, double checking to avoid any mistakes or omissions.

We establish a safe, hygienic and healthy work environment.

In order to secure the safety of work environment, fire safety inspections are annually organized to keep the comprehensiveness and security of various facilities. Moreover, we also voluntarily established additional breastfeeding rooms with privacy and safety, enabling employees returned to workplace after childbirth to look after both family and work. In accordance with the requirements in Article 15 of the “Occupational Safety and Health Act” announced by Ministry of Labor and management procedures for physical examination in ISO 45001, employees’ physical examinations were conducted every two years to follow up health conditions of employees. The “Regulations for Establishing Measures of Prevention, Correction, Complaint and Punishment of Sexual Harassment at Workplace” was additionally stipulated for prevention and correction of sexual harassment events, protecting victims’ interests. Measures for filing employees’ complaints regarding sexual harassment were provided in the regulations and dedicated personnel were assigned for coordination and management.

Occupational Safety and Health

In addition to complying with requirements of government’s laws on safety and health, and protective considerations for employees’ safety and welfare, we implement occupational safety and health management stipulated based on ISO 45001 standards. We set zero incident goals for workplace hazards to reinforce self-management, continuously improving performance in occupational safety and health, and reducing workplace hazards to protect labor safety and health, meeting requirements from competent authorities, as well as all stakeholders such as customers and employees. All staff of the Group shall comply with various procedures and regulations stipulated in the Guidelines for Occupational Safety and Health Management, promoting the effective operation of occupational safety and health management system.

Whistleblowing System

In order to protect corporate reputation, secure safety of properties to avoid and prevent any corruption, theft, criminal conversion or other unlawful activities that cause damage to the interests of shareholders, employees, trading counterparts and collaborative partners, we stipulated the whistleblowing system.
